Coral marble finish is a quality waterborne product which creates an elegant and antique finish. It comes in a beautiful selection of colours which will help you create the perfect look. It is especially formulated for interior use on plaster, concrete, gypsum board, MDF, plywood etc. It is recommended for hotels, restaurants, villas and all other prestigious interiors.

Surface preparation

The surface must be sound, clean, dry and completely free from dust, oil, dirt etc. All traces of release agents must be removed. On chalky and dusty surfaces, all loose material must be removed by stiff bristle brushing. Fill any imperfections with Coral Stucco Putty after application of Coral Alkali resisting Primer. Apply two coats of The Art base coat tinted to appropriate followed by the topcoat.

Application Method

Note Apply Marble finish onto small areas by using a steel trowel followed by spatula for design creation. Smooth the material to obtain a perfect level surfaces. A gloss can be achieved by rubbing the product with a trowel when dry. Then rub with trowel to achieve a glossy surface. Repeat the same process of application
at least three to four times to obtain a very smooth, marble like appearance. To increase the gloss further and to prevent water absorption and increase washability, one coat of special wax can be applied with cotton wool followed
by polishing preferably seven days after Coal the Art marble finish application. It is highly recommended that the product should be applied by a skilled and professional painter.

Drying time

Drying times are generally related to air circulation, temperature, film thickness and number of coats, and will be affected correspondingly.

The actual drying time/times before recoating may be shorter or longer, depending on film thickness, ventilation, humidity, underlying paint system, requirement forearly handling and mechanical strength etc.

3rd coat—Coral the art base coat of appropriate colour.
4th coat—Coral the art marble finish
5th coat—Coral the art special wax.


The product must be stored in accordance with national regulations. Storage conditions are to keep the containers in a dry, cool, well ventilated space and away from source of heat and ignition. Containers must be kept tightly closed.

Health and safety

Use under well ventilated conditions. Avoid skin contact. Spillage on the skin should immediately be removed with suitable cleanser, soap and water. Eyes should be well flushed with water and medical attention sought immediately.
